1. TIRUMANDIRAM (Tirumantiram)

WHY WE PUBLISHED THIS NEW EDITION OF THE THIRUMANDIRAM?

This monumental publication and all of the research conducted by the Yoga Siddha Research Center’s team of scholars and yogins since the year 2000 has been sponsored by Babaji’s Kriya Yoga Order of Acharyas, a registered educational charity in Canada and the USA, with sister organizations registered in Bangalore India and Sri Lanka. In concert with Babaji’s Kriya Yoga and Publications, Inc. of Canada, the Order is pleased to make this new translation and commentary available to the English speaking world.

There is some history behind this publication. The Tirumandiram is one of the first texts to emerge in the West from the gold mine of ancient Tamil literature, which until recently has been bypassed by scholars outside of south India. While the Sanskrit literature has been mined and studied by Western scholars for more than 200 years, the ancient Tamil language literature has been largely ignored. Babaji’s Kriya Yoga and Publications, Inc. published the first English translation of the Tirumandiram in a three volume international edition in 1992 as the Thirumandiram: A Classic of Yoga and Tantra. While it contained no verse by verse commentary, it did include special introductory chapters, index and glossary. Only the first of the nine tantras was published by the Saiva Siddhantha Church, prior to the death of the translator, Dr. B. Natarajan, in1982. Having received from Dr. Natarajan in person a copy of this first tantra in 1980, the founder of Babaji’s Kriya Yoga and Publication, repeatedly urged Dr. Natarajan’s heirs, from 1986 to 1991, to complete the publication of the entire manuscript. He finally received permission to do in September 1992, and published it in early 1993. Since then, this publication has gone through five printings, and as a result, the Tirumandiram has become known to lovers of Yoga all over the world.

However, the need for a more accurate translation became apparent as Tamil speaking specialists pointed out that Dr. Natarajan had too often sacrificed precision for poetic grace. Furthermore, he neglected to translate many of the technical terms, and consequently, the average reader, with little or no background in the philosophical and rich cultural, esoteric and religious tapestry of the Tirumandiram, was often unable to grasp the significance of many of the verses. Finally, it became apparent that the non-specialist would need a running commentary along with translation, in order to easily understand the meaning and significance of most of the verses.

This present work fulfills this need and several others, which the previous translation did not. It has the advantage of being based on the Tiruppanandal Kaci-t-tirumadam edition. We have followed the numbering of verses of this edition only. It also has the advantage of making use of the annotated and critical edition of the Tirumandiram written by Dr. S. Annamalai in 1999 for many critical points. To produce that critical edition, Dr. Annamalai examined thirteen different manuscripts of the Tirumandiram in their original Tamil language. From this examination, he was able to identify interpolations and other errors in several of the manuscripts.

This present edition also benefits from the experience and knowledge gained by the Yoga Siddha Research project’s team of scholars, lead by Dr. T.N. Ganapathy. Since 2000, they have produced six volumes of translation and commentary on the works of the eighteen Yoga Siddhas. Tirumular, the author of the Tirumandiram, is one of these eighteen Siddhas, or supreme masters of Yoga, and like them, uses their twilight language, or sandhya bhasa, extensively to deliberately obscure the meaning of his verses, as well as many other of their literary forms and references. These scholars’ unique experience and knowledge has enabled them to produce what has never been done before: a precise English translation with verse by verse commentary of the entire Tirumandiram in nine volumes, plus a tenth volume, which serves as an index.

As a final step in preparing for the present publication, two years ago, we published The Yoga of Tirumular: Essays on the Tirumandiram, by Dr. T.N. Ganapathy and Dr. KR Arumugam. It develops many important themes of the Tirumandiram and serves as both an excellent introduction and companion resource for both the specialist and the non-specialist reader.

Thirumanthiram In Tamil From One To Fifty Full

This edition of the Tirumandiram, because of its size, in well over 3,000 pages, has been a great challenge to publish. We felt that with the exception of a research libraries, few individuals would want or afford such a mammoth work. Thankfully just before printing, we received an offer to co-publish the works from an Indian, philantropist Dr. N. Mahalingam. We are very grateful for with his generosity we were able to bring out this beautiful hardback edition at a very attractive price.

It has frankly been a challenge to produce a translation that would not take sides in the important philosophical debate between Saiva Siddhantins or realistic pluralists, and those who see the Tirumandiram as an expression of the highest mystical states of consciousness accessible to the Yogin, or monistic theism. The views of the two sides are reproduced in the special introductory chapter. The translation and commentary itself has been kept neutral, with an aim of making the original terminology as clear and accessible as possible.

As the world wide interest in authentic Yoga grows, the importance and reputation of the Tirumandiram is bound to excel. May all lovers of truth and the Sanatana Dharma, in particular, find their path illuminated by the poetry and wisdom of Tirumular.

Tamilians used varmam as a martial art as well as a medical system. Before the introduction of the herbal medicine, it is the Varma practice used as a remedy using the fingers for the ailments of the human beings. So it is very clear to calculate that this is of the oldest system on the basis of its age too.

In a human body, in certain places in a particular time or in all time; with a specific force if an injury occurs, problems such as disability, disease or even death will be resulted. This process is called as Varmam.

Using these specific points of the human body, we can rescue people from diseases, unconciousness and strengthen them. This curing technique is known as Varma treatment.

The current Queen is certain that her advisors are trying to oust her. Her magic, gifted from the water spirit of their Kingdom, is not as strong as her mother’s. and her daughter shows no sign of the gift. Suddenly a long treaty with a foreign power crumples, bringing war and she is helpless to stop it. She takes flight, hiding her daughter among peasants and heads for battle. But her Council is not going to let her go that easily, they need the child. Especially now that war is coming.

Men are preparing for war even as the Lord Regent is subjugating the people. Everyone wants to fight but with the Princella in hiding, there is no one to rally them together.

(You try condensing 500 pages into a brief bit without spoilers!)

There are several different voices in the book who narrate their part and the book takes place over several different regions of the kingdom. The story also jumps time, sometimes months, sometimes years and so it was a little difficult to keep up. That said there was enough of a differential in the voices to make it pretty clear that it was a different narrator.

The author was excellent at fleshing out the characters and making them real. The ‘heroes’ had plenty of flaws and yet were endearing enough for you to root for. I loved the little Princella’s stubbornness and childish behaviour. She is a child, even though she’s royalty and it was nice to have some examples of that.

There were other characters who had their own chapters, and yet weren’t main protagonists, and these became my favourites. Tiklok especially was adorable and I felt so bad for the abuse he had suffered in his life.

Even the ‘bad guys’ had enough humanity so as not to be cliche or standardised. In fact, there were a few instances where you understood the reasoning behind their machinations which was a nice change.

(Or just means that I am closer to becoming a villain that I thought. Is empathising with the bad guys a bad thing? Am I on a slippery slope to becoming evil?)

The map at the front was super helpful (and we all know how much I love a good map) as the story takes place all over the nine realms. But even though it was over 500 pages it went in a snap because you couldn’t stop reading.

Every chapter was either an insight into court life, drama and intrigue, or it developed the Kingdom and brought a new character and their intricate lives into full focus and I loved this.

Two things bothered me; Firstly we were told in the blurb that the Princella is an orphan yet the first half of the book her parents are very much alive.

It made it hard to bond with those characters since we knew they were going to snuff it.

Second, I didn’t realise that there was a glossary of who the characters were at the end of the book. I didn’t realise it was there until I had finished the book and had had to make a few notes for myself over who was who. I felt dumb.

But these are minor grievances in an otherwise fantastic reading experience.

Summary

TOR books offered me an ARC in exchange for a fair review. I love fantasy so I readily agreed, especially when I realised that this was a new sort of series. A binge series. The Author is going to release one book a month so there is no wait in between for everyone to forget who half of the characters are.

Finally a fantasy series for those forgetful ones among us who have the best intentions but a brain like a sieve.

I love epic fantasy but when books are 500 pages and then a years wait (or longer, George R R Martin I’m looking at you.) It’s easy to lose the momentum and if there isn’t time to reread before the next one comes out people often find themselves spending the first half of the new book going “who was that? why are they important, was that a thing?”

So in January we have A Queen in Hiding, followed by A Queen of Raiders in Feb, A Broken Queen in March and The Cerulean Queen in April.

The plot was intricate yet engaging. The characters were all interesting and the magic system was unique and beautifully executed. I can’t wait for the next instalment.

A Taste of Honey is a well-researched manual for the benefit of the novice and the somewhat knowledgeable on delicate matters. Its Author, Habeeb Akande, is an Historian and an Erotologist.
So what is Erotology? Erotology is the study and description of sexual love and lovemaking. I have to define it because I have been asked before what it meant. Therefore, it’s not a well-known word. Early Muslim Erotologists date back to the 9th century according to the book. From Akande’s researches, we see that fictitious sex stories aren’t new for the people that keep insisting that fiction is bidat in Islam. Early Erotologists had stories about sex and included all gender orientations but to not encourage readers in matters strictly forbidden by Sacred Law. It was rather for moral and educational purposes.
In the introduction of the book, Akande quoted Tunisian sociologist Abdelwahab Bouhdiba who said in his book Sexuality in Islam, “It is a pious duty for a good Muslim to help all other members of the Ummah (Muslim community) to become aware of the art of pleasure, to use it consciously, to benefit from it, in a word, to assume their bodies. After the countdown has end, the selection of weapons is closed and the humans have to start running (escaping). This phase takes 7 seconds, where zombies are frozen and unable to move. This will the humans an advantage in order to succeed in the escaping mission.
When the freezing seconds ends, the escaping round starts and the chase becomes! This is the main phase of the gameplay where humans have to run to achieve the target (usually helicopter, boat..). The humans have already the advantage of time and weapons but on the other hand zombies have more speed to chase!
You can always download cs 1.6 and install a free non-steam version. Which you use to test the zombie escape mod online in servers or install it locally with bots. The provided website is tested and trusted and super fast, you can download the full edition highly compressed in just a minute.

Game Objectives:

When it comes to mod objective, and as I did mention before, it's the surviving, but with more!


Humans:

Humans team main objective is to achieve the escape point without getting infected. At the first place, they start escaping first (7 seconds phase). After that, as the zombies are way faster, they have to use the guns (with grenades) to push them back. If a human gets attacked (hit) by a zombie, then he's infected and joins the zombies' team. So, humans need to avoid getting infected as well as achieving the escape point!

Zombies:

Chase them all! After all, that's what zombies do, even in movies and other games. Zombies team have the objective of chasing and attacking the humans' team. They win by infecting all the humans and killing the last survived human. While humans try to hold them back using guns, zombies have to avoid the bullets and find the best spot to achieve, attack and infect!

If you are a server owner, I suggest that you use this link. This is a zombie plague mod (amxmodx built) using ReHLDS and ReAPI, which allows you to have a smooth server with the most minimum requirements of a cs 1.6 server. Or you can use a normal HLDS plugin here. Both will allow you to install and run the server but with different specifics!

Hello everyone, I want to present you my new private mod Zombie Escape Liberty for CS 1.6. This is my second work with the ze mod, I tried to do something unique, I think I did it. Details of the new mod in the full fashion news.

+ Almost all settings are output to files for easy editing.
+ Very simple system with knives.
+ Fog, rain, snow, everything is available for installation on the server.
+ Unique round system, people always play for the CT team, and zombies always play for the TT team.
+ Well-designed admin panel system (kik, Mut, voting) all in one convenient menu.
+ Everything is very long and tedious to tell, you can go to the test server and see the build yourself.

This FLUKE software is driving me nuts. I take all my images in IS2 format so I can adjust them if needed.

What drives me crazy is having to go in an manually delete every one of the temp. markers on every single photo:mad: Is this necessary or is there a way around it?

I can click on the “edit all images” tab but it doesn’t allow me to remove the markers from the images. It only allows me to change from normal to ultra contrast and adjust the pallet.



I’ve read the directions 25 times and I can’t figure it out. Ao oni game. Is it possible to capture in IS2 format and exclude the temp markers without opening every single image?

Each hand consists of a combination of sets and runs, and there is a different opening requirement for each of the seven hands. The first hand requires a player to open, or 'go down,' with two sets. A minimum of six cards makes up the first hand's opening requirements, seven cards for the second hand, etc. Each successive hand needs one more card for the opening requirements, until the seventh hand, which requires twelve cards to open. If several players wish the top card, the priority goes to the desiring player closest in rotation to the current player. In such a case: The order of play is not changed, The player picking out of turn may not play any cards on the table until his or her next regular turn, Any remaining cards in the discard pile are ineligible for selection (dead), and The player whose turn was interrupted resumes play by selecting the top card from the stock pile. As a point of strategy, it is occasionally advantageous to 'may I' for a card not directly useful, in the hopes the penalty card will be useful. If the player has not yet opened, and has the necessary cards to meet the opening requirements for that hand, he may then lay down the sets and runs appropriate for that hand. Having opened, the player is then free to play (in that same turn and in subsequent turns) additional cards onto existing sets or runs that have already been played on the table.
